Silkscreen Printing

Step 01

Design preparation: High resolution (300 DPI) image files are required, vector files (such as AI, SVG, EPS) work better.

Step 02

Mesh selection: Polyester fiber mesh is usually used, and aluminum frames can maintain high tension.

Step 03

Mesh number: Select the right mesh number according to the design requirements, high mesh number (such as 200 TPI) for fine patterns, low mesh number (such as 110 TPI) for bold design.

Step 04

Photosensitive adhesive coating: The screen is evenly coated with photosensitive adhesive, and the photosensitive adhesive will form an ink-proof film under ultraviolet irradiation.

Step 05

Exposure and washing: The design pattern is placed on the screen, exposed with ultraviolet light, and washed with high pressure water gun (1500 PSI), the unexposed part will be washed away.

Step 06

Screen drying: Dry the screen in a dark environment at room temperature, the relative humidity is less than 40%, and the temperature is appropriate at 68-77°F.

Step 07

Alignment and printing: the screen is installed on the press, and the test printing is carried out to ensure the alignment is accurate.

Step 08

Ink preparation: Adjust the viscosity of the ink as needed, and high-quality ink can achieve bright and lasting printing results.

Step 09

Printing operation: Print with the right scraper Angle (65-75°), pressure (25-35 psi) and speed (40-100 mm/s).

Step 10

Ink curing: Use a flash curing device (320°F, 20 seconds) or a conveyor dryer for curing.

Step 11

Screen cleaning and recycling: After printing is completed, ink and photosensitive adhesive are removed with special cleaning agent, and the screen is properly stored after drying.
